MOU Signing between Mendaki SENSE and SIMM [27 Sep 2012]
SIMM signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MENDAKI SENSE to promote training in Logistics and Supply Chain Management for the Malay-Muslim community.
The Singapore Institute of Materials Management (SIMM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SENSE (Mendaki Social Enterprise Network Singapore Pte Ltd) on 27 September 2012. Under the MOU, SIMM will collaborate with SENSE to promote training in Logistics and Supply Chain Management to the Malay-Muslim community.
“As the top logistics hub in the region, the logistics industry in Singapore faces the constant challenge of manpower crunch. This collaboration will promote stronger talent capability among Singaporeans to meet the growing manpower needs of the industry. We are honoured to have a strategic partner like SENSE who recognises the potential of the logistics sector to provide a fulfilling career for the Malay community,” said Roger Lee, Director of SIMM.
The signing of Memorandum of Understanding today between the two organizations was witnessed by Mr Hawazi Daipi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Manpower.
