CERTIFICATE IN MATERIALS & PURCHASING MANAGEMENT (MPM) 

Course Objectives
To help participants develop the skills, practice and knowledge of managing materials as an effective means of manufacturing and controlling the business operation. To prepare participants for the Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (DLSCM).

Who Should Attend
This program is meant for both manufacturing and business operations/personnel such as Materials Manager, Executives, Purchasers, Senior Administrator, Production and Materials Personnel, Planners, Warehouse Personnel, Inventory Controllers and those who need an overall understanding on the management of materials cycle with emphasis on purchasing as the primary materials activity.

Entry Requirement
Participants should possess 3 GCE ‘O’ levels or equivalent qualification. Those who do not meet the entry requirement may be considered on a case by case basis.

Award of Certificate
To achieve the award of Certificate in Materials & Purchasing Management, candidates must pass the final examination with a total score of 50 or higher, and attend at least 75% of the sessions.

Note: Only the top 5% of the whole cohort will be awarded exam grade 'Distinction'.

Course Duration: 96 hours (32 sessions)
Course Fee: S$1200/-
Application Fee: S$80/-
Membership: Participants must be members of SIMM
Registration: On first-come-first-served basis. Reservations made by telephone or telefax will only be confirmed upon receipt of registration form and cheque
Registration Deadline: 2 weeks before course commences
Venue: SIMM Training Room

Payment of Fees
Payment must be made 2 weeks before course commencement date. Cheque must be crossed and made payable to “Singapore Institute of Materials Management” with the title of the course and name of the participant(s) indicated at the back of the cheque.

SDF Funding
Singaporeans or Singapore PR holders under company sponsorship are eligible for SDF funding at $2.00 per training hour.

Fee Protection Scheme
CPE requires all student's (local and international students) paid course fees to be protected under the FPS. The FPS serves to protect the student's fees in the event a PEI is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure.

Refund of Fees
Notice of withdrawal must be given according to the terms stated in the Terms and Conditions for enrolment.

Cancellation
SIMM reserves the right to postpone/cancel the course due to unforeseen circumstances.
