Graduate Diploma in Logistics & Materials Management (GDLMM) - Part Time
Program Objectives
The course will provide you with hard-hitting, focused,
up-to-date information on the latest and most effective logistics
technology tool, a practical business management program with a
focus on managing the flow of materials, people and services, to
satisfy customer demand and to ensure success in the difficult times
ahead.
Who Should Attend
This program is designed for those who are working as materials
manager, plant manager, sourcing manager, purchasing & inventory
manager, procurement & operations manager, purchasing agents, senior
buyers, planners & buyers, sourcing engineers, equipment engineers,
transport manager, forwarders and traffic & warehouse supervisors.
Entry Requirement
Applicants must have one for the following qualifications:-
A recognized Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics / Supply
Chain Management from SIMM.
Applicants preferably should have at least 5 years of working
experience. Applicants who do not possess the above qualifications
but deemed to have equivalent qualifications may be considered on a
case-by-case basis.

WSQ “Apply Project Management Skills”
This module equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills to achieve successful
completion of specific project goals and objectives by a specific time, within budget and according
to specification. It involves managing the phases of project life cycle that include initiating,
planning execution, controlling and monitoring and closing. This module provides participants the
opportunity to apply, demonstrate and practice the knowledge and skills learnt on applying project
management skills through classroom and practical sessions. The mode of assessment for this module
includes written test, and mini-project or work assignment.
Assessment and Examinations
The GDLMM programme examination
is a continuous assessment through written assignments, special
projects and examinations. This ensures that actual application of
concepts and knowledge with professional experience will make
learning more practical and relevant.
A student must
pass the final examination with a total score of 50 or higher, and
attend at least 75% of the training sessions.
A supplementary
exam may be granted to students who failed the main examination. The
student will be required to repeat the subject if the student failed
the supplementary examination.
Award of Graduate Diploma
Upon successful completion of the program, students are
awarded the Graduate Diploma in Logistics & Materials Management.
GDLMM graduates with good overall grading can pursue the Master in
Logistics & Supply Chain Management by Curtin University of
Technology, Australia, provided they possess a recognized Bachelor
Degree, subject to Curtin’s approval.
Administrative Details
Application forms must be accompanied by:
a. Applicants must enroll as members of SIMM throughout the period of the course.
b. Education qualifications, including transcripts of results and other supporting documents.
c. One passport size photograph.

Course Duration: 12 months + 12 weeks management project
Course Fee: $2,980 with WDA funding (before GST) / $3,995 without WDA funding (before GST)
Application Fee: S$80/- (before GST)
Membership: Participants must be members of SIMM
Registration: On a first-come-first-served basis
Closing Date: 4 weeks before commencing date
Venue: SIMM Training Room
Payment of Fees
Payment must be made 2 weeks before course commencement date. Cheque must
be crossed and made payable to “Singapore Institute of Materials
Management” with the title of the course and name of the
participant(s) indicated at the back of the cheque.
Refund of Fees
Notice of withdrawal must be given according to the terms stated in the
Terms and Conditions for enrolment.
Fee Protection Scheme
CPE requires all student's (local and international students)
paid course fees to be protected under the FPS. The FPS serves to
protect the student's fees in the event a PEI is unable to continue
operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure.
Cancellation
SIMM reserve the right to cancel/ postpone the course due to unforeseen circumstances
